And whether you feel you are just starting or at an advanced level, we have what you need. We purposely keep the class size small, usually under twenty students. This allows the maximum amount of individualized instruction with your teacher. Beyond the regular class time with your own instructor, the Florida School often offers additional educational opportunities with multiple instructor teaching sessions and pre- or post class sessions. There are also a number of opportunities for networking with other students and instructors at meals and social events. Florida School is a Professional Photographers of America (PPA) Affiliate School founded in 1993. Florida School is operated by the Florida Professional Photographers, Inc. and exists to offer an effective week long experience of professional imaging instruction to professional photographers. Florida School offers an outstanding lineup of instructor's and a full schedule of special events. If you aren't sure what a truly great fun and learning experience it is, ask anyone who has attended one of our past sessions. Florida School's commitment has been to teach students practical, real-world skills that can be used to build a satisfying and prosperous career in professional photography. Each year, nationally acclaimed working professionals celebrate the craft of photography by sharing their knowledge and expertise with their students. A hands-on participation is emphasized, as students learn the latest techniques from a successful professional. The Daytona Beach Southeastern Center for Photography is the gracious host to the Florida School, located on the campus of Daytona Beach Community College. The well-equipped facility features spacious studios and a superb museum of photography. The PPA awards two service merits to PPA members and the FPP awards 5 points towards the FPP's Educational Degree to those who complete the course requirements. There are plenty of networking opportunities available as social events and some dinners are included with your registration fee.
